Event promotionsFINRG Recordings also promotes it's yearly FINRG tour events in the main cities of the Southern Finland. These events are always built for promoting the cutting edge of Finnish freeform keeping ticket prices very reasonable and the event production standard high. We are not playing in the big league of event promotions, but we do like to play the risky game of exceeding expectations. HistoryIn the beginning FINRG Recordings was a coalition of three: Dj Karri K, Nemes and Carbon Based. Each had had the idea of setting up a hard dance label and combining forces was a natural thing to do. The debut vinyl release "FINRG001 - Carbon Based: Kraateri / Karri K & DFG: Be Quiet" received good international reviews and promising sales. Soon after a new label FINRG Hard was set up to release the harder edge of Finnish freeform. "FINRGHARD001 - Alek Száhala: Man Eaten / Alek Száhala: Invitation" was the first release, nowadays a Finnish freeform classic. At these times crusial changes in the label management took place. Karri K and Nemes dropped off and DJ RX came along. Also the actual FINRG Recordings partnership was formed and the label was now more effectively controlled. Some more visible changes took place as the Nu Energy distribution, which distributed FINRG, handed all it's vinyl distribution to Amato, one of the largest distributors in the world. FINRG Hards second vinyl release "FINRGHARD002 - Pain On Creation: Lush / Pain On Creation: Lush (Carbon Based remix)" was put on release queue, but a number of delays were faced along the painful path of finding new vinyl press. Finally an international pressing company MPO was found and the release was finally hitting the record stores. Today FINRG is an artists label. The inhouse artists Alek Száhala, Carbon Based, DJ RX, Pain On Creation and Re-Form are part of the FINRG development team. All actions are aimed to promote and benefit the artists as well as the label. Our new label FINRG Digital and the FINRG Webstore are selling MP3s making the earlier hard to get music available for anyone. Also the co-operation with other labels is stronger than ever as we are building solid lines of releases with them in all formats available, starting from vinyl for the deejays and ending in CDs and MP3s for the homelisteners. |
