After moving to Adelaide from Brisbane, Hex became the pioneer of the UK Hardcore sound and has made it his mission to get the sound heard in Adelaide. After branching out and playing freeform Hex gained a residency at Karma at Earth nightclub and was able to expose the hardcore sounds to the Adelaide masses on a weekly basis. Hex has supported some of the best dj's the world has to offer including, Judge Jules, BK, AMS, Brisk, Nick Sentience, Impact, Breeze, Styles, Hixxy, Re-con to name just a few.

Hex has played at most of Adelaide's and Brisbane's major raves including Adventjah, Mayhem, System 6, Revolution, Electric, Rezerection, Twisted and many more.

When tonight's performers were announced at the end of the night on our Turku event, guess who got the biggest cheers? Yes, Proteus and Neon are definitely most loved hard dance deejays in Finland.

And why is that, might someone ask. Well firstly, Proteus and Neon go a way back, running together the pioneering Säde club in Helsinki, before quite anyone else was playing NRG in Finland.

Secondly, they have both done countless gigs all around Finland from the smallest to the biggest venues for the past 10 years.

Thirdly, neither ever compromises, but always give 100% to the audience and let their passion for the music they play show.

Fourthly, both are definitely the most skilled and charismatic Finnish hard dance deejays, which in this case means (charisma + skill + energy) * 2!

On a dark and extremely cold winter night ten years ago Carbon Based was formed. We've come a long way from those days on so many ways... Like, at that time humans still held the chess championship over computers and no one distributed deejay mixes over internet as only universities had broadband connections. OK back to the topic, Carbon Based will be celebrating their Anno X with a special 10th anniversary live P.A. together with DJ Rx behind the decks and Mestre Lari on the drums. The set will be a mixture of bit older tracks remixed and remastered up to date and newer productions.

Master Száhala, a skilled linguist, yet better known for his pioneering work with Finnish Freeform, releases on such respected labels as Nu Energy, Electronic, Electrolysis, Electroplates, Camel and naturally FINRG Recordings, gigs at the legendary Logic club in the UK and tours as far as Australia.

After beginning his studies at the university of Helsinki some years ago, Alek has drastically cut the amount of his live P.A.s. to concentrate on his studies and productions, so this is one of the few opportunities to see this gothic freeform overlord on stage on 2006.

Swoosh will be serving the beginning of the evening with a delightful set of uplifting and energetic hard trance.

Aimed for the most cinematic, destructive, bowel-shaking, mind altering sounds known to man (or machine), Dj Genki is set to move and shake this deteriorating planet of ours with each set he plays. Not happy with settling down to only some styles of music, he caters the unexpected yet keeps the flow uninterrupted and true to the moment. Some of the styles he prefers are hardcore breakbeats, chunky house, high-octane psytrance and drum.n bass in its various forms.

An integral part of several music-related crews in Finland, Genki has always acted towards open communication across different musical scenes. Also as an A&R person for Exogenic Music Group, Genki has had his hands in many strange soups that have been brewed in this cold, dark country. He started in 1993 at the tender age of 17, playing the early forms of industrial / psy-sounds in mostly illegal bush gatherings and warehouse parties.

1998 marked as one of the main turning points for Genki.s djing career. He went for a 6 month trip to Australia and heard many of the local dj.s playing all kinds of music mixed together in the parties there, instead of the generic order of playing just one or two styles of music during the night. This journey also lit his interest in rough drum n bass and dirty breakbeats, which became his main interests after drifting away from the psytrance scene. Just to return to it after 8 years of intensive breakbeat schooling.

The future is always open for this guy, and there is no way of telling what he might be up to next. These years have taken him and his music from almost every city or town in Finland to countries like France, Australia, Japan, Sweden, Latvia, Estonia and Germany. He's had the privilege of playing with such acts as Pendulum, Dom&Roland, Aquasky, Plump Dj's, Dieselboy, Underworld Dj.s, Chris Liebing, TeeBee, Matrix, Klute, )E|B( and many, many others.
